Seeking people who are enthusiastic and dedicated. Willing to work hard. Involves some lifting, as much of gallery work is hanging walls, cleaning and maintaining gallery, coordinating and hanging exhibits, interfacing with artists, delivering paintings and sculpture, merchandising programs, etc.
Sales experience or prior gallery experience in selling corporate art definitely a plus. Retail experience necessary or other related management experience. Must be able to work weekends and some evenings as we have evening artist receptions. No exceptions.
Must be team players and able to manage and coordinate people. Able to multi-task. Retail involves math skills especially if you intend to move to management positions.
Must have computer skills. MS works, Word, EXCEL, Web Skills, Digital Camera Experience, Frontpage or Dream Weaver, desk top publishing, etc. Writing skills and being able to communicate effectively a must. Must have college degree but not in art related field. Business administration, communications, marketing, literary degrees etc., management, computer science, etc. welcomed.
We are looking to expand our on line sales through the web (E Commerce) and Ebay marketing, skills in these areas would definitely be a plus. Tell us if you have listed items on Ebay or your own site.
Prairie Renaissance Arts, Inc. staff will be writing and working with children and people with special needs. Looking for commpassionate people that love fine art and education. Must be able to write well and communicate effectively. Include writing samples if applicable.
